July, in a nutshell

Some might think we are lazy to not update our blog when we have done so much, but that is just it, we are too busy! Our summer started off with cub scout day camp (which I was program director for). It was crazy and insane leading up to it but really fun once it started. (sorry, no pics). Then we left for a trip to Utah to see family and go to the Stadium of Fire fireworks show. That was awesome.

Aaron and Carl had a tank battle during our own driveway fireworks show. I think Aaron won this one.

I didn't have the camera with me always but we hiked at Sundance, dipped our feet in Bridal Viel Falls, checkout out gravesites of ancestors and hiked the "Y"!

We met a rattlesnake on the way to the top too. He seemed pretty interested in finding some shade. That would have been a really nice thing to find. Can you see him?

After our hike and lunch at Training Table, we headed to Provo Veterans Pool for an afternoon of swimming and sliding. No cameras were allowed but the pool was perfect for our family. We headed back to Carl and Devin's and then up the canyon for a BBQ evening. The weather was perfect and the company was even better.

Cousins

Again, not great with the camera this summer but the next day we hooked up with Annette and Bary and thier family for the afternoon. After a picnic lunch, we headed to Hollywood Connection, an indoor park that was perfect for the kids.
We didn't get too many pictures but the kids golfed, played laser tag, rode roller coasters, bumper cars, carousel, roller skate and just had fun. Our last day we stopped at temple square to go to the visitors center and walked into the tabernacle. We didn't have enough time there but were grateful for the quick tour of the conference center. We even got to walk all the day down to the bottom. That was pretty cool.

FAMILY PICTURES

While in Utah, Aaron's sister, Heather was gracious enough to take our family pictures. She is a very talented photographer in Arizona and was able to capture each of my kids personalities. Check out her website. She is amazing and we are so thrilled with the pictures. So as not to overwhelm you with all of them, I have put together a slideshow of some of our favorite pics. Thanks Heather. You are awesome and we LOVE them.

Awesome pictures and our house already misses you guys. Heather did a great job. Oh and by the way, I totally beat Aaron in that tank war. It wasn't until I met Dave's parachute rocket that I lost.

Those pictures are soooo good! I may or may not have teared up a little watching the slide show. You have a sweet family.
Thanks for coming!

Carl that is not how I remember the outcome of the tank war. I think you came in 2nd during both take wars. We had a great time. The only thing that would have been better was if the fish were interested in my flies.

Amazing pictures. Thanks for sharing them. I couldn't find most of the pictures in the slide-show on the other site. And Blogger says that they're taking your background away tomorrow.
